Holmfirth couple JANET AND TONY BOOTH are celebrating 60 years of married life. They met whilst working at David Browns in 1962, married in 1965 at St Barnabas Church Crosland Moor and have lived in Taylor Hill, Fenay Bridge and Holmfirth.
Tony worked in engineering, as Managing Director of Bombardier Transportation UK. Janet gained her BSc in Behavioural Science when she was 40 and taught at Birkby Infant and Nursery School.
In retirement they enjoy travelling the world, music, volunteering and gardening. Janet sang with Huddersfield Choral Society and Tony is a member of New Mill Male Voice Choir.
They have three daughters, Penny, Sally and Emma, and six grandchildren, Joe, Liz, Molly, Lucy, Emily and Charlie, who will join them to celebrate with a meal and a family holiday.
