It was an enthusiastic group of 42 people from 18 countries that took the oath of citizenship at a special ceremony hosted by the Albert College in Belleville, Ont. Canada on Wednesday, October 19th 2011. The ceremony began with presiding Judge, Roy Bonisteel, eloquently outlining the rights and responsibilities of Canadian citizens. For Derek Blake, who came to Belleville from Birmingham UK, the most exciting aspect of being a citizen is that he will be able to vote. "It is the most important right that a person has and one needs to exercise it.because he has chosen to come to Canada. As Married A Canadian - He now feels this country is one of the best countries in the world to live in and with a little effort, one can lead a very fulfilling happy and long .. life in Canada." He is now A full Canadian and British subject not forgetting his roots
