Mr. C’s Leaving Party I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has made my last twelve years so special and memorable at St. Peter’s, Swinton. I will always look back at my time with fond memories and appreciate all the cards, gifts and good-luck messages you have sent. I consider myself to be very lucky to have the respect from so many people in Swinton and the continued support has been incredible. I cannot tell you what a hugely difficult decision it has been to leave what has been a massive part of my life for a long time, as I have made many good friends and worked with some excellent colleagues. But the time is now right to move to pastures new. I am very grateful to those of you who managed to attend the leaving party on 1st April in Fletcher Hall as you helped to raise £600 for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. Miss Higginbotham, who has been a huge influence on my career, has been suffering with secondary lung cancer and the money will go to this charity in her honour. The night went really well and you made me feel like quite the celebrity! My personal thanks goes to everyone who helped on the Friday night and apologies if I have missed anyone out! These include DJ David Frost, the doormen Paul and Sam, Barbara Taylor and Carrie Daniels for sorting out tickets, Mrs Walker for her kind words, the ladies from school who served behind the bar, Karen Johnson for the collection, Lorraine Capper for …. too many things to list here, Ken Frost and Pete Flannery for organising Fletcher Hall, Mrs McAuley for the fantastic cake, Mrs Wright for her years of dedicated support and Dave Chapman. May I wish you all the very best for your future in whatever you decide to do. And to you kids ... always remember - “Never Let Go Of Your Dreams (however small they may seem)”. Missing you already, Mr. G. Constantine (Mr. C)
