BARLOW (James Robert) - 24.04.1926-20.01.2009. Christopher, Sharon, David and their families, would like to express their thanks to everyone who sent their condolences, sympathy cards and attended Jim’s funeral service. We know that many who wanted to attend were prevented from doing so by the bad weather conditions, we fully understand and know you were thinking of Dad and us that day. Special thanks go to the staff on EMU and Adam Bede wards at George Eliot Hospital for caring for Jim, to J.E Hackett and Sons for their professional and dignified service. To Wendy and Marie’s buffet service for the wonderful food at the reception, and especially to John and Jane for conducting a warm and sensitive service that was as emotional for them as it was for us. We were truly humbled that so many people were touched in some way by Dad, as a family member, a colleague at his many committees and societies, or as a friend or neighbour. Dad will be sadly missed by us all and loved and remembered forever, a true gentlemen has been taken from us. To you all, for your heartfelt sympathy, thank you.
